What it costs
Projects start at £4,500. Larger builds with several roles, payments or integrations usually cost £10,000 to £20,000, and multi-role platforms or complex builds £20,000 to £30,000 or more. Payment is 50% upfront and 50% on launch. Running costs such as hosting and AI usage are paid directly to the providers from your own accounts, and ongoing support is optional. Questions to ask any automation agency
Whether you hire us or someone else, these questions separate a system you can rely on from a demo:
- Whose accounts will it be built in, and who owns the code? If the agency holds the keys, you are tied to them.
- Will I get a written scope and price before any build starts?
- What happens when an automation fails? It should alert a named person, not fail quietly.
- Which decisions will stay with a person? Money, legal commitments, complaints and messages sent in your name should.
- How will the AI avoid saying something wrong? A business is responsible for what its chatbot says, as a tribunal found in Moffatt v Air Canada (2024).
- What will it cost to run each month, and who is billed?
- What happens after launch? Training, documentation and optional support should all be spelt out.
