The missed call that was a new client
The phone rings while your receptionist is on another line, or while you are up a ladder, in a treatment room or at a viewing. The caller reaches voicemail, hangs up and rings the next firm on the list.
You never learn who it was. A missed call from an existing client usually comes back. A missed call from a new one often does not.
What we build
- Voice agents. A voice agent set up with your services, opening hours and qualifying questions. It picks up the calls your team cannot, and every call ends with a summary in your CRM.
- AI receptionist. The same technology as your front desk cover for overflow and out-of-hours calls. It books into your calendar and routes callers who ask for a person.
The agent tells callers it is automated and uses only information you have approved. Complaints, upset callers and anything needing advice go to a person. The agent answers calls and does not make them.
Reminders and follow-up go by text and email instead. Under UK PECR, the ICO says automated marketing calls need the person's specific prior consent, and general marketing consent is not enough, so we do not build automated outbound calling.
What is it worth? Do the sum
The lever is more clients, from calls that already ring your number.
- A call nobody can take goes to the voice agent, not to voicemail.
- It asks your questions and books or takes a message.
- Your team gets the summary and calls back anyone who needs a person.
| What you count | Example |
|---|---|
| Missed calls a week | 12 |
| Share that were new business | 1 in 4, so 3 |
| Close rate on new callers | 1 in 3, so 1 a week |
| Value of a client | £500 |
| Worth a year (52 × £500) | £26,000 |
Example figures. Swap in your own.
Your phone provider's call log shows missed and abandoned calls. Count one typical week, then check how many of those numbers are not already in your client list.
Bring that count to a call. The audit report prices it next to your other gaps.
When a voice agent is not the right fit
If you miss two or three calls a week, a callback habit and a clear voicemail message cost almost nothing. If most enquiries arrive in writing, a chatbot may suit you better. We compare chatbots and voice agents separately.
How pricing works
Every build is scoped and priced in writing after an audit. You get a range before the audit and a fixed price after the written scope.
Phone minutes and AI usage are paid directly to the providers from your own accounts. You can see how pricing works nationally.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an AI voice agent cost in Manchester?
It depends on call types, the systems it connects to and how handovers work. Every build is scoped and priced in writing after an audit, with a range first and a fixed price after the written scope.
Will callers know they are speaking to AI?
Yes. The agent tells callers it is automated, and anyone who asks for a person is routed to one.
Can we keep our existing phone number?
In most setups, yes. Calls your team cannot take are forwarded to the agent. The scope confirms how it works with your phone system.
What happens when the agent cannot help?
It takes the caller's details and reason for calling, then hands over to a named person with the summary.
Can it make outbound calls?
No. We build voice agents that answer calls. Reminders and follow-ups go by text and email, and we do not build automated outbound calling, which UK PECR rules restrict heavily.
Does it replace our receptionist?
No. It covers the calls your team cannot reach. Your receptionist keeps the calls where a person matters.
